Powers's Story...
Hi, I'm Powers and I am a very good boy. I am a sweet, happy-go-lucky boy; who's tail is always wagging. If you let me out I will go potty outside. I don't jump up on furniture. I love ball and am hoping to find a family that is looking for a sweet, ball loving dog. I will curl up nicely in the house and I love getting rubs and attention but I am not demanding. I am a Cocker mix (I appear to be Cocker/ Dachshund despite long legs). My profile says I am a Sr. dog but everyone who meets me says I look like I'm around 5 or 6. I like other dogs. My pictures don't do me justice. I am absolutely adorable with a 1960's Ringo Starr hairdo. I am currently in Antioch, CA waiting for my forever family. Could you be it?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Powers, a Santa Barbara Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever for sale in Santa Barbara, or seeking a Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Santa Barbara.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Santa Barbara already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Santa Barbara breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Cocker Spaniel/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Santa Barbara paves the way for another one to be saved.
