Here's what the humans have to say about me:
IDGSR WELCOMES REO INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Reo is a adult male German Shepherd that appears to be a working line,
he is a handful for sure.
He needs a proper handler one with advanced experience, one who is willing to
work with him and train him.
He is best being the only dog at this time.
Reo would excell in a working program.
Reo has good drive and already knows some commands but requires a strong pack leader. Yes he sure is pretty and he looks like he'd just be perfect, but he is not for the faint of heart, he is not for a novice handler.
He is in need of a adopter who will give him a lot, I mean alot of exercise and training.
Reo's needs are several, however it is not his fault that his previous owners were derelict in their duites to properly train and socialize Reo. Much of this can be corrected by a dedicated adopter willing to work with Reo, Why would anyone want to take on this workload when they can just try to find an easier dog?
well IDGSR asks ourselves this question from time to time, however we know there are special people out there for our special needs dogs, whether it is dogs with medical handicaps or those who need further education, IDGSR has been amazed time and time again by those folks with such depth of character to take on a dog that is a bit more needy than others.
Many other rescues or potential adopters might bail and run on a dog like Reo, but we know there are those folks out there that are familiar with the breed well enough to know how to deal with Reo.
IDGSR does not think that Reo is a bad dog, we know that Reo loves people and needs the proper guidance of a adopter.
If you are interested in Reo, please copy and paste the link below and fill out the application.
