Rolo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Rolo's Story...
Rolo spent the first several months to a year of his life on a chain, having food given to him by the neighbors. A Guardian Angel stepped in and he came to us. No more chain for him, now it is soft beds, regular meals and nothing but love and guidance! Rolo is a good natured, energetic pup. While his age technically puts him in the "adult" category (about 18 months), he's got a lot of puppy left in him. He's goofy, curious, and hasn't met a stranger. Rolo is great with other dogs, but what he wants most of all is someone to snuggle. He knows "no," "come," & "sit" and is learning more commands at a rapid pace! He is great with kids and has proven to be quite gentle even when he wants to play. Rolo is looking for a family that will treat him as just that...a member of the family!

Rolo's adoption fee is $200. <p> All MVPC dogs are heart worm tested, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate trained and on a great potty training schedule.

ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25 except on a case by case basis. Because we are volunteer based and a home visit is required, we have a two hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions, though rare, may be made on a case by case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rolo, a Dayton Mountain Cur dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mountain Cur for sale in Dayton, or seeking a Mountain Cur dog from a breeder in Dayton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Dayton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Dayton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mountain Cur breeders who help with Mountain Cur rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Dayton paves the way for another one to be saved.
