My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Video coming soon!
Ginger's a 20 year old registered Appaloosa mare, trained with Clinton Anderson techniques. She's awesome on ground work and under saddle too. She's 14.2 hands. Ginger has been ridden in trail obstacle competitions by her former owner. She's very good on trails alone or in a group. She rides by traffic, crosses water and other obstacles easily. Ginger also rides well in an arena and would be good for a beginner to learn and gain confidence on, as we have never seen her spook. Ginger rides well whether she is ridden every day or if she has a year off, so she's a good choice for a someone who doesn't have time to ride daily or school a green horse. She'd also be great as an extra horse for a beginner friend to be able to ride out on trails with you.

Our horses have received their basic vaccinations (Rabies vaccine, EWT combo vaccine) at the time of adoption. They have been dewormed and have a negative Coggins test as well. All horses have received a hoof assessment and trimming. Horses are also microchipped.
We do our best to determine what amount of training they have had and to represent them as accurately as possible. However, we usually do not know the history of our horses, so we determine training by how the horses act after we get them. Please call ahead or email to set up a time to meet our horses if you are interested in adopting. They are at foster homes so we may need up to a couple days notice in order to schedule a time for you to see them.
We desire for our horses to find a good home where the horse will be a good fit with the person adoption him/her. With that goal in mind, we do our best to accurately represent everything, good and bad, with our horses.
CARE provides one week free boarding until you can pick up your new horse. Adoption fees are sometimes negotiable to the right home. For more information, please email us at drkathyjordan@yahoo.com You can see our adoption applications and and more info about our rescue on our website, www.crossroadsanimalrescue.org. To start the adoption process, please submit an adoption application through our website. This in no way obligates you - it simply gets you approved to meet/adopt our horses. You can also call us at 864-972-9994.
