IDGSR WELCOMES ZEN INTO THE SAFETY OF THE RESCUE!!!!
Zen came to IDGSR from Alabama, she was in a county with no shelter but a makeshift shelter to save county animals and give them a chance at a adoption or go to rescue. Otherwise they go to the next county over to be destroyed. Most people can't fathom the issues not addressed and often ignored by the southern counties and cities with gluts of animals and they do nothing to address the endemic only seek to problem solve it immediately by destroying the animals. There are good shelters who seek to get the animals to rescued or adopted but the tide never ceases and the epidemic continues. Fortunately for Zen, she's one of the lucky ones. We named Zen this name because it describes her character.
She is so calm and chill and easy going and gentle. She is a total sweetheart.
Gets along fine with other dogs. Zen has a docked tail, We believe she is a Shottie, a German Shepherd Rottie mix and she is a wonderful loving dog.

Each dog's adoption fee varies depending on the age of the dog.
$300 for any dog 1 year and younger (PUPPY)
$250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG & ADULT)
$200 for any dog 7 years (ADULT SENIOR)
All our adoptable dogs are up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, monthly preventative, and have been spayed or neutered.
Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.
All dogs are fostered in TN unless stated otherwise.
