Chance's Story...
I’m Chance, a 7-year-old Maltese who wants a calm environment. I really appreciate my humans and like nothing more to cuddle with them. I do move kind of slowly, so I might be good for a person looking to adopt a mild mannered boy and I’d love to meet you. I do have a couple things you should know about. I’ve suffered from hair loss and thinning and would appreciate a nice jacket for the colder weather. And I need a lot of patience because of my balance. But none of this stops me from cuddling and being close to my humans. I’m house trained but have marked in the past. A belly band shows me to seldom do that anymore. Won’t you please love me and adopt me? My adoption fee is $200 and you can get an application at rescueofhope.gmail.com. Waiting for you, Chance

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chance, a Grand Rapids Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
