My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Love is the answer, at least, for most of the questions in my heart, like Why are we here? And where do we go? And how come it's so hard? It's not always easy and Sometimes life can be deceiving I'll tell you one thing, it's always better when we're together” Jack Johnson
If only dogs could talk. Johnson started out knowing life is not always easy and he was already deceived by people who should have cared for him. Thankfully such things are in the past now. Johnson is a 10 month old white and red hound mix weighing 35 lbs. He really isn't going to get a whole lot bigger. This sweet little boy is almost completely house trained with only the occasional accident. He currently has access to a doggy door to let himself out. He is very good in his crate, never fusses or frets. Johnson is very good with other dogs, children and the resident cat in foster. He apparently has some pretty smooth moves too. Always a gentleman when taking treats, and slides right in unnoticed for some 'lap dog' time. He loves to be held, cuddled, and get belly rubs so he is most definitely the affectionate type. Johnson walks well on leash and does okay on car rides, still learning that rides lead to good things (not the shelter). Our precious little guy is quite the conversationalist. He loves to talk to people when they talk to him. Absolutely no clue what he is saying but we're sure it's all good. Johnson has already picked up on some basic commands like sit and he will probably learn even more with some time and one on one training. Johnson is already neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on his preventatives. When it comes to matters of the heart, Johnson is ALL heart. There may be a few questions left for this little nugget like 'Are you the one(s)?' 'Are you taking me home forever?' ('Are we there yet?') 'Will you love me for the rest of my life?' Sooo many questions baby boy! But yes Johnson, there is someone truly special out there for you. We believe LOVE really is the answer to all of these questions when it comes right down to it. Oh and by the way, it IS always better when you're together. Are you ready to fall in love yet?
