My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Queen Amidala: How did you end up here with us? Jar Jar Binks: I don't know. Mesa day startin pretty okee-day with a brisky morning munchy, then BOOM! Gettin very scared and grabbin that Jedi and POW! Mesa here! Mesa gettin' very very scared! -from 'The Pantom Menace' 1999

How utterly WUDE!! Poor Binks! (NOT) One minute he was hanging out with his brother eating garbage off the streets, imminent disaster just waiting to happen, and the next thing he knew he was in a cell with his brother. Perhaps not the greatest situation but he now had shelter and real food. Not to worry though. Binks has since been pulled into foster through rescue (yes his brother too). Binks is a 16 week old black lab mix weighing 19 lbs and will likely be around 50 to 60 lbs when full grown. This cutie is ALL puppy and as such comes complete with all the usual puppy antics. What puppy antics you ask? Well he is the kind of mischievious little boy who will gladly steal your socks, chase your feet, and parade your underwear around the yard if you tend to leave things laying around. Anything eyelevel and below (and within reach above) is fair game to little guys until they learn and understand rules, house etiquette, and boundaries. As with any puppy he is very trainable for anyone willing to comit the time and effort to teach him to be the best boy he can be. He is going through some basic puppy training in his foster home. Foster mom says he has a natural inclination to shake with the 'sit' command. At this point in time he has the attention span of a gnat and would much rather run around and have a great time playing and wrestling with his foster siblings. He tries very hard to do all the things the older dogs do like catch a ball, fetch, and jump on the couch, he simply lacks the grace they have which in and of itself can be very entertaining. Binks does have a very sweet and loving demeanor complete with a shower of puppy kisses, when he isn't hanging on to your pant leg as you walk (kind of like a human toddler). No doubt the picture in your head is just as hilarious as the reality. Foster mom says he keeps her on her toes, but in a good fun way. You definitely need to possess a sense of humor with these lab pups. Binks has mastered the doggy door and is catching on that it is used to go out for potty. He has progressed quickly with his potty training and now only has the occasional accident. He is very well behaved in his crate and does quite well on leash for a young pup. Binks comes fully vetted to include neuter, vaccinations, and current on preventatives. This delightful little tyke is ready to find his loving, patient, forever family. He will be well worth the occasional missing shoe or sock because the smiles, joy, and laughter he brings....priceless!
