Hazel is a 6-year-old, spayed female black & mahogany Rottweiler mix who weighs 54 lbs. She is a very sweet and friendly girl who still has a lot of spunk, but is easygoing and mellow.
Hazel is a happy dog who loves to go on walks and she is great on the leash – no pulling at all. Hazel also loves to ride in the car and sits calmly in her crate when going for rides. At a recent adoption event, Hazel did well with people she met and with other dogs, but she got a bit overwhelmed when in a very crowded and unfamiliar area with lots of strange dogs. Hazel would probably do best with just a few other dog buddies at a time while on walks or visits with her owners rather than at dog parks so that she doesn’t get too overwhelmed.
Hazel recently had a bath and loved every minute of it and was happy and playful after she got nice and clean. Hazel likes to run around a little and play, but calms down quickly and likes to chill out and get lots of petting and love. She’s a great all-around dog! Come down to the shelter to meet one of the most loved dogs we have and see for yourself what a gem she is.
