Wednesday's Story...
Introducing Wednesday! Sweet little girl was brought, with her brother Adam, into Memphis Animal Services as strays. They were given their 72 hour mandatory hold time and then were placed on the euthanasia list. We know it's ridiculous, but what else would you expect from one of the most notoriously high kill shelters in the country? Well that's behind them now and we couldn't be more thrilled to have them as a part of our rescue.

Wednesday live in a foster home with other dogs, a cat and kids and are nothing short of perfect with all their hosts. Content to veg out on the couch with a kid, romp with another dog, or go for a walk, these are amazing dogs - sweet little best friends and brother and sister duo, we can't wait to see all that life has in store for them once we find their perfect families.

Wednesday's adoption fee is $500 and will include her spay surgery, microchip, all previous vetting (vaccinations, deworming, regular check ups), health certificate exam, and transportation from the Memphis area to you. Please let us know if you are interested in sweet Wednesday or her brother, Adam, (or maybe even both :-))

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wednesday, a Chicago Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Chicago, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Chicago.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chicago already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chicago breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chicago paves the way for another one to be saved.
