corkie's Story...
Our online applications and more info about our facility found at www.warrickhumanesociety.org! All of our dogs receive extra love and attention. They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason. Here’s how it works: ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter’s website, we automatically receive a $25 donation to help cover common needs like blankets, litter and food. This donation is of no cost to you and provides us with essential funds. Make the right move and enroll today! this boy is one of our long time residents, why we dont know, because he is cute cuddly and sweet, he is also pretty well mannered, would make ideal pet for an older person our couple wanting a companion animal! Dont make him stay here for christmas come visit us today, we have to many long term residents, that need homes. Just because we dont euthanize our animals doesnt mean they dont need homes and should live here forever!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

corkie, a Newburgh Beagle/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Basset Hound for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Beagle/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Basset Hound breeders who help with Beagle/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
