Hoss's Story...
Hoss was returned due to him being pretty big and knocking down them down, he also had a bit of separation anxiety. He needs a home where someone is there most of the time to spoil and love him and keep him company. he would also do well with older kids, and he MUST have a fenced in yard. Fill out an application if interested further in him. A homevisit is required to adopt him, a fee of 250.00 to adopt him applies. No small kids, he is to much for them and will knock them down, not agressive just massive! He needs obedience training and must be agreed to do prior to being approved! Followups are a must and we will require you to report back on progress with him. We want his next home to be forever and you must agree to these things to be approved to adopt him. This is an awesome brindle boy, HE was a stray found and we decided to take him in , and hope that someone will find him and fall in love. If you like PIGS your gonna love this boy, because he snorts like yes a PIG! when sniffing the ground he snorts all around the place. IF you would like to have a big unique boy to call your own this could be him! Please fill out an app or come by and see him, he would love the belly rubs and attention! He has no aggression issues at this time, and gets along with all dogs, big small male and female.......HE LOVES HIS toys, every time he goes outside to play HE MUST GRAB a ball from the toy bin and take it out with him then return to his kennel with it.....other rescues wanted to argue what he was, said he was not a pit bull, etc, IT doesnt matter what this unique fella is but one thing is for sure, HE IS one awseme dog, and we are sure we will find that perfect home for him soon! Our online applications and more info about our facility found at www.warrickhumanesociety.org! All of our dogs receive extra love and attention. They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason. Here’s how it works: ShelterCare Pet Insurance Programs cover you when your pet needs essential veterinary care from an illness or injury. Also, every time a completed application for a ShelterCare program is generated through our shelter’s website, we automatically receive a $25 donation to help cover common needs like blankets, litter and food. This donation is of no cost to you and provides us with essential funds. Make the right move and enroll today!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hoss, a Newburgh Cane Corso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Cane Corso for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Cane Corso dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Cane Corso breeders who help with Cane Corso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
