Whiskers's Story...
Whiskers is about 4 yrs old, is a great boy, was an owner turn in. He is a typical energetic boston, so an active family is a must for him, to go on walks and play outdoors. He weighs about 12 lbs and is on the small side for a boston. An application process applies as well as a homevisit if you are out of our area to adopt him. PLEASE JOIN US FOR OUR PUMPKINS AND PAWS EVENT ON OCTOBER 20 FROM 1 TO 4 PM AT THE SHELTER! PUMPKIN DECORATING, SHELTER AND LODGE TOURS, GAMES, CLOWNS, FOOD AND FUN!! THIS IS ALSO A CHANCE TO MEET OUR AWESOME ADOPTABLES! All of our dogs receive extra love and attention. They are tested for Heartworms, vaccinated, spay/neutered, microchipped and Revolution flea/tick applied prior to adoption. We REQUIRE an approved application including vet reference for adoption and a home visit in some circumstances. Each dog will be placed in a home that is appropriate for that dog and we reserve the right to deny adoption for any reason.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Whiskers, a Newburgh Boston Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boston Terrier for sale in Newburgh, or seeking a Boston Terrier dog from a breeder in Newburgh.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newburgh already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newburgh breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boston Terrier breeders who help with Boston Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newburgh paves the way for another one to be saved.
