8yo Red Merle Australian Shepherd, playful and loving

Max is a red merle Australian Shepherd who has the energy of a 4-year-old with the wisdom of an 8-year-old. He loves Frisbee, fetching a ball, and pretty much any other activity you come up with. But Max also loves to cuddle and to be with people.

Max prefers to be the dominant dog in a home, or the only dog is fine with him too. He is just a "bossy Aussie" toward other dogs when he wants his way. He lived part of his early life tied outside and was reprimanded by people yanking his chain, so requires a fenced yard so he doesn't have to be on the leash all the time. Max loves people and is a friend to any person he meets, wanting to be with them all the time. He is perfectly cat friendly. 

If you are looking for a sweet buddy to be at your side, full of love and playfulness, this is your guy.  He is housebroken, up-to-date on all vaccinations and up-to-date on his heartworm test. He does know some commands, and you can always teach an old dog new tricks... Max is fostered in St Louis area.
