Weight: 5 pounds
Age: 3 years (birthday is Halloween!)
Personality: Friendly, NOT YAPPY, a joy to be around, affectionate, loves to play with other dogs. He didn't even cry when they inserted his microchip at the vet! He shook a little since he'd never been to this vet before, but he's a brave little dog and very unusual for a Chi! He was a tiny bit timid at first, but warms up very quickly when he realizes you're not going to hurt him. Cysco has a ton of love to give!
Coat: Short, smooth, coat is shiny now that he's on good food.
Training: Knows sit. He is smart and food motivated so will be easy to train.
Potty trained: Yes, on pee pads and outside. Let's you know if he needs to potty in the middle of the night, but then he is good to sleep the rest of the night.
Health: Excellent, Cysco is eating well and is very healthy. Because he was neglected for about 6 months, he got very thin. He has gained that pound back and he looks very healthy now. No heart murmur, or any other known problems at vet check. Parasite free.
History: Had owner who adopted him as a puppy, but 6 months ago, the owner became gravely ill, and he stopped feeding him properly. Cysco was filthy, emaciated and flea infested when a volunteer stepped up to rehabilitate and rehome him. He's now eating well and in need of an owner who will love him the way he deserves! Despite being so severely neglected, this little guy doesn't hold any grudges. He's sweet as can be and full of joy!
Fostered in: Chino Hills
Type of home: He would do well on his own during the day while you're at work, but Cysco wants a home with someone who wants to spend time with him. He enjoys walks and socializing. He loves to play with other dogs and cats. Family or single person. Apartment or fenced yard. Spaces in fence must be narrow enough for him not to be able to slip through.
Crate trained: Yes (sleeps in crate at night, but I'm sure he'd love to sleep in bed with you)
Good with Dogs: Yes, loves to play

All dogs are fully vetted, tested for heartworm, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations.
