Hershey's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.

Hershey's Story...
Hershey. 8 year old male Chocolate Lab. Housetrained, neutered, up to date on vaccinations.

Hershey is such a gorgeous and sweet boy! He gets along great with all dogs. Hershey is bonded with Gretchen (a 2 year old Doberman Pinscher mix with our rescue) and they must be adopted into the same household. Gretchen is a bit timid and looks to Hershey for reassurance. Due to Gretchen’s shyness, a home without small children would be best. If you are looking for two wonderful dogs that will keep each other company while you happen to be away, then Hershey and Gretchen could be for you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hershey, a Indianapolis Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
