Gulliver's Story...
I'm an adorable, 1 year old, small 21 lb. Beagle. The kind people who found me chose the name Gulliver. Perfect. Yes, I've had travels. Abandoned in a remote area, where sadly dogs are commonly dumped, I was in sad shape. My little body was covered in burrs and ticks, missing fur, with an injured ear and emaciated with every bone sticking out. I was outside during pouring rain. When found, I collapsed into their arms unable to take another step. I gratefully gave kisses. I don't want you to think this bad experience has effected me. I'm a joyful, happy, energetic boy. I greet everyone with a wagging tail and a big smile. Very friendly, sweet and gentle. And, I am up for new adventures to live up to my famous name. I'm great with kids, good with other dogs & cats. I know sit and am housebroken. Chasing balls is one my favorite activities. I'm also a loyal dog who wants to be close to you. I'm an accomplished snuggler. Healthy, I have been neutered, vaccinated, and heartworm/Lyme tested. I'd like an active family to play with. If I can be your best friend, please contact for an adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gulliver, a Radford Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Radford, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Radford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Radford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Radford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Radford paves the way for another one to be saved.
