Poor Marley can’t catch a break. Her owner died several months ago, leaving her and her four-legged housemates without an owner. Her owner’s sister has done the best she can to care for them by driving to her late brother’s house several times a day to feed and care for the dogs. However, that situation is no longer sustainable and Marley desperately needs a new home.
Marley is a three year old spayed female who is current on rabies (she has not had boosters). She is great with the dogs she lived with (German Shepherd and two small mixed breeds). She has not been around other dogs to test how she is with them. She is curious about cats but has not been in a home with them, so it’s uncertain how she would be living with a cat. She is beyond sweet with people, as you can see in the pics below.
Marley does have mild skin allergies right now, which the vet thinks is mostly due to her living environment at the moment. She also has a cruciate rupture on her knee, which may require surgery. That was diagnosed on 3/5/14 and her caretaker (the late owner’s sister) has reported that she is doing well right now even without surgery.
