Katona just completed a 3-week training course and came out with a gold star. Just as we thought, she is the sweetest girl who is completely misunderstood. She is so happy, her tail wags uncontrollably and all she wants to give is kisses.
This excitement transfers to dogs she sees too. She barks with excitement and wants to get over to meet them. So proper, calm and slow introductions are necessary. Other dogs may not appreciate the excitement. Katona has not been truly cat tested but showed no interest in a stray that was walking by during a walk.
Katona, like most other boxers, loves to chase lizards. She knows how to sit, stay and off, although when she is happy to see you, she forgets her manners. She loves to walk and be outside. She would love to be with a single, active person that would take her running or hiking, and be able to give her all of the attention she has been lacking. Katona does need a stronger leader that will not cause Katona to feel like she needs to take the leadership role. Katona needs to just be a dog and enjoy that role.
Katona is looking for her forever home and needs out of boarding...she deserves the best and a forever home of her own.
(The adoptive family will have access to the trainer for help and/or questions at any time.)
Katona is a beautiful, young girl who just wants to be understood. She loves to be outside, exploring what the world has to offer. She is a very quick learner and is food motivated. She knows several commands and would love to show them to you. Katona does show interest in other dogs, large and small, but is easily corrected with the right motivation. Katona needs a home that will continue her training and will keep her engaged. If she is not socialized with the outside world, Katona can become overly protective.
I am a young girl who is looking for new adventures. I am not really sure sometimes who I want to be. I need a structured home that is willing to continue working with me like my foster mom has been. She loves me but knows that it is time for me to move on and maybe I will find my furever home.
I have not liked having other dogs around. I have shown an interest in chasing cats sometimes as well. I know that's naughty. But I just cannot help myself! Maybe when you are working with me, you can change those things! I am willing to work with you. I love treats and will do just about anything to get one! I know a lot of commands and I am quick to pick up on them.
I love to cuddle on the couch. I still have so much puppy energy and love to give you. So if you are willing to be my boss so i can relax and enjoy being a young, sweet dog, please contact FBR! I am looking for you, too!!
