Alexandria - Spayed/New Photos's Story...
"Alexandria" is a beautiful 10-month old female kitty who arrived at the HSOV on September 28, 2015 after she was found in Marietta Ohio and brought to our shelter in hopes that we could locate her owner. Sadly nobody came looking for her, so we are trying our best to find "Alexandria" a new home. This little beauty queen has a gray short smooth coat with a small patch of white on her chest, a long tail, and an adorable face with pale green eyes that beg for attention. "Alexandria" has a calm, quiet disposition and a friendly personality. She is still unsure of her surroundings and a bit nervous, so we are continuing to give her some extra TLC to make her feel welcome. We had taken Alexandria's preliminary photos in her cage the day she arrived and were anxious to take more flattering ones later. "Alexandria" was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on October 3, 2015. We spent some time with Alexandria in our meet/green room on October 12th so that we could take updated photos. "Alexandria" was still a little apprehensive about posing for the camera, but she made a noble effort and looked beautiful :) "Alexandria" was spayed on October 18, 2015 and was also given rabies vaccine on that date. Her adoption fee would be $20 with an approved adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Alexandria - Spayed/New Photos, a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
