Hope's Story...
Hope is a 13 yr. old 14.3 hand grade mare that was seized by animal control in May 2015. She is rehabilitated and ready to adopt. Hope was ridden by college students over the summer at Hopewell Farm in Lillian, AL and did very well. She has been to a show where she worked an obstacle course and carried the flag. She was also taken to the Blackwater State Forest and did well on the trails with a group of horses. Hope handled deer running and crossed a creek. Hope has some good forward movement, which makes a good trail horse, but she is not for a beginner. Adoption Fee: $400.00.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Cantonment Grade/Tennessee Walking Horse was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Grade/Tennessee Walking Horse for sale in Cantonment, or seeking a Grade/Tennessee Walking Horse from a breeder in Cantonment.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cantonment already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cantonment breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Grade/Tennessee Walking Horse breeders who help with Grade/Tennessee Walking Horse rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cantonment paves the way for another one to be saved.
