Goldie's Story...
Goldie is around 3 years old we were told although she acts and looks like a puppy still. She does well walking on a leash and pottying outside. Goldie is a golden retriever mix and is just gorgeous. She will need an active family, one who likes to walk or at least has a fenced yard to run in. She has lots of energy and needs an outlet for that. She would do best in an all adult home or with teens. She has been having some issues with people food and will need an experienced owner. She is very cautious with other dogs although she does warm up to them. She is spayed, up to date with shots, microchipped, HW negative and on preventatives. If interested, submit an application at www.hubbardshounds.com. NO PHONE CALLS!

Adoption donation is $250

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Goldie, a Homer Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in Homer, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
