Leon is great dog who came into his foster’s home as a puppy almost 3 years ago, after family friends found him wandering the east Texas countryside. His estimated birthdate is in November 2012, so he’s still a young boy! He’s an active boy that likes, thrives on, and needs outdoor activity. He now lives with (and gets along well with) a small toddler and another dog. He interacts well with other pets and loves to play with other dogs.
Leon also enjoys human interaction and companionship. He enjoys ending his day by laying on the couch beside his foster! He has been exposed to small children both in his current home and in gatherings with extended family’ and has shown a good temperament with children. He’s potty trained and knows a few commands he’s been taught.
He is really a sweet dog who loves interaction with people and dogs, and will continue to do well in an active family. Running companion, agility dog, or as just a buddy to an active family, Leon will fit right in!
If you feel your active home might be the right place for such a great dog - the place to start is with the adoption application found at www.dfwrescueme.org/adopt. Once submitted, the foster will contact you promptly to tell you more and to arrange a time to meet!
The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $225.00, which includes their vaccinations and spay/neuter.
Leon is participating in the DFW Rescue Me Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster, not by DFWRM.
