Roonie's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Roonie's Story...
This sweet little guy ate something he shouldn't have and had an intestinal blockage. He needed surgery to live and his owners would not pay it so they surrendered him to us. He came through his surgery very well and is now fully vetted and ready for a real home with a family that thinks he is more than "just a dog". Roonie is 9 years old and weighs 15 lbs. He is house trained and is good with dogs, cats and all people. If you would like to give sweet Roonie the great home he deserves, please contact lorainecm@comcast.net or omlc7@hotmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Roonie, a Harrisonburg Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
