My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Benjamin is a handsome 3 y/o male who found himself in a shelter and in need of rescuing. He stands 15 inches tall with a solid 28-pound body. He has been neutered and is current on all his vaccines. This boy is ready to find a family of his own.

Benjamin is housebroken with the use of a dog door. He is crate trained but usually has the run of the house. His manners are good and he sleeps through the night on a dog bed or the chair in the master bedroom. This boy is learning to play with his foster siblings. It is obvious that he has not been around other beagles, because he still allows the bossy little female of the pack to ride herd on him! Benjamin is getting quite good at beagle wrestling and chasing after thrown balls. Of course, like a typical beagle, he rarely brings them back! He has a wonderful low bay that he uses when he is being left out of a game that looks fun. It is guaranteed to bring a smile to your face!

Benjamin has a sweet and loving nature. He enjoys a good snuggle when your lap is free. His biggest problem has been to learn that people’s hands are not for chewing! It is a puppy habit that he never learned was unacceptable. Benjamin is eager to please and a smart boy. He has made great progress over the last few weeks and quickly responds to verbal commands. He would benefit from going to classes with his new family. If you have experience with beagles and are looking for a wonderful male, then look for farther! Apply today to meet Benjamin!
