Sally's Story...
Hello friends, I’m Sally and I’m 10 years old and weigh 58 pounds. I have been with my family since I was a puppy, but they have 2 young children and a third on the way and felt they couldn’t give me the time and attention I need. They turned to AGB to find someone who could love and care for me and maybe even spoil me a little. I’m currently taking some medicine for a bladder issue and some supplements to help me with mobility, but overall I’m in good health. I’m told I am “a young 10” because I like to run, play and swim and I will run and get a toy to bring to anyone who comes over to visit. I’m very well behaved, housetrained and I know commands like sit, stay, come and down. I love other dogs and kids. I don’t have much experience with cats so I really don’t pay much attention to them. People say I’m sweet and friendly. I don’t like thunder so if you could cuddle with me during storms, I would be ever so grateful! If you’re looking for a beautiful, loving, happy girl to love, look no further. And if you’re 65 or older, AGB will waive my adoption fee for you! Just go to the AGB website and submit your application and tell them you are ready to meet sweet Sally. Thanks for reading my story. Your friend, Sally. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sally, a BIRMINGHAM Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in BIRMINGHAM, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in BIRMINGHAM.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in BIRMINGHAM already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a BIRMINGHAM breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in BIRMINGHAM paves the way for another one to be saved.
