Rocky's Story...
Hi everyone. I’m Rocky, a 6-year-old Shar Pei Terrier mix and I’m looking for a forever family. I weigh about 40 pounds and have a lot of energy and love my play time. I also love just hanging out and lounging on the couch. My foster mom says I’m good with kids and other dogs. I walk well on a leash and am house trained and can be trusted alone in the house once I get acquainted. I hate squirrels because they taunt me, but I am friends with my foster mom's pet rabbit. I'm not sure about cats, I don't know any. My foster mom wants you to know that I am a GREAT dog and she just loves having me (You will, too!). I’m fully vetted and my adoption fee is only $200. Please email rescueofhope@gmail.com for an application. Yours truly, Rocky.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Grand Rapids Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Grand Rapids, or seeking a Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Grand Rapids.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Rapids already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Rapids breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Shar Pei/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Rapids paves the way for another one to be saved.
