Ebony's Story...

Ebony is a beautiful little Shih Tsu with grey, white, and brown coat colors. She was turned in as a Cherokee County Stray from 800 Crisp Rd with another Shih Tsu 'Ivory.' However, the 'input' appears to be a result of a neighbor compaining about the dogs, picking them up and turning them in to the Shelter, and the owner has not claimed them due to the on-going dispute with the neighbor. At input on 10/17/15, Ebony weighed 16 lbs and was about 2 years old. She was already spayed and is up-to-date on her vaccines. This adorable girl is not a 'nipper' and will be a wonderful pet for a family. Please check out Ivory, the dog she came in with because both are adorable and would do well together. They would be a great pair to have as companion dogs for a single person. If you would like to adopt Ebony and provide a good home for her, please email the Shelter at vras1@frontier.com or call them at 828-837-2304.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ebony, a Marble Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Marble, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Marble.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marble already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marble breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marble paves the way for another one to be saved.
