My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LittleTzu is a tiny seven pound female Shih Tzu with a beautiful soft non-shedding black and white coat. We guess her age to be about 9-years-old. Abandoned and lost, she was found wondering in a field by her rescuer; he took her to a local grooming shop. Filthy and covered with fleas, it took four baths to get all the parasites off of her. The groomer cleaned her up and brought her to the Safehouse on 10/04/2015. A darling little love, everyone who has met her, loves her. Personality plus, she obviously lived in a home. LittleTzu is house trained (barks to go out), leash trained, and well mannered. Sadly, this precious Shih Tzu has a mammory tumor and a small mass in the corner of her eye (we think that is why she was dumped). The mammory tumor has been removed, completely and successfully, and LittleTzu is recovering nicely. She still has a lot of medical care ahead of her but this sweetheart is a tough gal and we know she will do well. We have made her comfortable (she LOVES soft pillows), and she gets lots of hugs. When her surgeries are over and she has fully recovered, LittleTzu will be ready to find her new home and forever family. LittleTzu is spayed, has a microchip, is current on all vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and has had a complete physical and dental. LittleTzu is not yet ready for adoption; when she is her adoption fee will be $200.
