My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Elsa is the pup you want to have around! Elsa, at just about 18 - 24 months old and 9 lbs, is initially a bit hesitant...then the most bonded and loving girl around. She's also very beautiful! It's clear that Elsa wasn't given the nutrition that she needed when in Texas. Now that she's having the time of her life and great nutrition in her Denver foster home, she's already gaining weight and is happy and healthy! Her new photos show her adorable ears on a cute-as-can-be face! Her coat has been shaved and is just starting to grow in healthy and soft as cotton. Elsa doesn't shed at all.. yet doesn't seem to require grooming and haircuts. Just a great sudsy bath, some brushing and a periodic nail trim is all we believe sweet Elsa will require.

Elsa enjoys her time with her foster mom so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! She just generally enjoys all people (as you can see by her wagging tail in her her photo). Elsa is truly a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with kind, dog-loving people. Elsa also enjoys all other dogs who are kind and gentle to play with and enjoy outdoor time together.

This incredibly adorable pup exudes love and loyalty...and it's catching! Elsa's tough early life has left some qualities of shyness initially on the personality of this sweet pup. She continues to blossom, however, every day that she's out of the shelter and in a loving and kind environment.

Her bond to her people and her tiny size leads us to believe that Elsa would be happy in either an active retiree's home...she would blossom with the time, attention and lap time that this type of family would offer. Or a family with dog-loving, very gentle children would also be great...Elsa LOVES kids and is playful and fun! If there is a game of Fetch going on..Elsa is the first to join in and can be counted on to return the ball every time!

Elsa is also so portable at just 9 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane or riding shotgun in the car, Elsa is ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Elsa is all over it. Off she'll go in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Elsa has an amazing attitude for a little dog from a scary shelter... but it was her great temperament that saved this sweet pup's life.

Elsa will arrive on transport in Denver on 10/23/15. If interested in this sweet, devoted and very funny best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com.
