S.J.'s Story...
My name is S.J. and I was abandoned and roaming the streets starving, thirsty and dehydrated. I almost got hit by a car on a very busy street when someone first noticed me and picked him up. I was so hungry when they fed me that I immediately ate almost a pound of food! Even though I was in pain because some of my teeth are infected, I’m a very sweet boy. I love being petted and will purr up a storm all the while making muffins. I’m only about 3 years old but my teeth are in such bad shape. My diet was not the best after living on the streets. I will need some special care in the next few weeks so if you are willing to give a hurting, yet lovable, fellow a home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

S.J., a Medford Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Medford, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
