Stella (female) & Anton (male)'s Story...
Bonded siblings available for adoption as a pair only. Stella and Anton were born feral in May 2015. They have been in foster care with Cowichan Cat Rescue since July and have adapted very nicely to being house pets. She is spayed, he is neutered, and they have both had their first shots. They are both still shy of new people so will be a project for their new family but we know they are very much worth the effort. Both Stella and Anton have a ton of character and love to carry toys around the house. Stella especially likes to hide gifts in our shoes. I've found a piece of carrot, a nut ( the kind that goes on a bolt), bouncy balls and many other odd things. Anton has a quirky head tilt that makes him look as if he's thinking deeply about life. He's actually probably only thinking about doughnuts but we can pretend. They both very much resemble Oriental Short Haired cats in looks and personality. They will do best in an indoor only home with no children. They are good with other cats and have been raised with my dog so would be good with a friendly dog too. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Stella (female) & Anton (male), a Duncan Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Duncan, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Duncan.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Duncan already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Duncan breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Duncan paves the way for another one to be saved.
