Here's what the humans have to say about me:
11/21/15 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
Adoption Fee: $350
Fostered in Texas
Age: 4.5 years
Weight: 5 lbs.
10/30/15 - Mia was surrendered by a family who found out that they truly did not have time for a dog. After you meet her, it’s hard to even imagine giving up such a great baby. She is awesome. Oh well, one man’s trash is everyone else’s treasure in the case of Ms. Mia.
Mia loves all people and adores getting attention. She gets along with the other pups in the home but doesn’t truly play with them yet. Nor does she seem to care about toys. She enjoys sleeping in the bed with her humans, but will sometimes choose to get down and sleep in a dog bed on the floor.
She will use potty pads and go outside when brought, but accidents should still be expected. This little lady is a tomboy at heart. She loves exploring and “finding” things.... sticks, leaves, turtles, etc. She loves snuggling with her humans, but will also lay on the other end of the couch at times by herself. She is the perfect “girlfriend” clingy, but not too smothering.
Foster mom has heard her bark, but says she doesn’t use it for everything. Certain household noises seem to make her uneasy and she will bark at them. Foster mom is working on this by telling her it is ok so they won’t seem so scary for her. In public, she loves all people and is fearless. At home is where she is a little less certain with noises and quick movements. Not sure if she was treated badly, but we are sure that she will always be treated good from here on out and hopefully gain confidence in the home as well.
Mia is an explorer, so any ajar door or gate would tempt her to run off. To that end, she would have to be watched so she wouldn’t go off.
Mia is a wonderful little girl. She is super sweet and will blossom under the right ownership. Again, we have found it so difficult to believe she has found herself in rescue.
