 zzBuster's Story...

Mr. zzBuster Posey is the sweetest dog with the most amazing ears! He loves dinner time, giving kisses, sitting in your lap, and playing with other dogs. He hasn't met a person or animal he doesn't like (we're not sure about cats yet), and he is great with all people young and old. He is crate trained, and almost fully house trained. We call him vampire dog because of his awesome widows peak.

Buster needs a family that will spend time with him and can give him all the love and attention he deserves. A place with a yard is ideal as he loves to spend hours basking in the sun.

His breed background is uncertain! The “shepherd mix” is just a best guess. He’s about 30 lbs., and was found him in the middle of the street after an apparent car injury. He has a 'gimpy' back leg that the vet says doesn’t both him one bit! But as a result he doesn't really feel where his rear paw is placed - so sometimes it slides out from under him. Buster’s not slowed down by his injury. He can really run (fast)!

 Disclaimer: This dog is a participant in the Paws in the City Guest Dog Program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by the foster, not by Paws in the City.  A $200 adoption fee is due at the time of adoption and will go to the foster.   To meet this dog, please fill out an adoption application at the Paws in the City website

About Paws In The City

About Our Rescue Group...

Paws In The City® is committed to supporting the City of Dallas Animal Shelter by hosting off-site adoptions for the dogs and spay/neuter education and fundraising through specific outreach programs.

 Providing a comforting and positive environment for adoptions;

 Providing medical care to neglected, abused, and injured animals through our outreach efforts;

 Educating the public on responsible pet ownership; and

 Supporting spay and neuter programs…the simple, common sense solution to ending the number of unwanted dogs and cats on our streets and in our city shelters.
