Powder's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and not good with cats.

Powder's Story...
Powder is looking to begin her new adventure with YOU! She is a gorgeous white Boxer, with one partial blue eye and one brown eye. Sadly, her adopted just gave her away and then she was picked up by Travis County Animal Control. Adopter could not remember who she gave the dog to. We always take our dogs back, so there is no excuse this sweet girl should have had to go through all this. Powder is settling into her foster home. She is house trained, pulls a little on leash and loves to go for a car ride. She gets along with other dogs as long as they are gentle with her. She is spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative and current on all vaccinations.

If you would like to meet Powder, please go to our website and complete an application, www.wimberleywagrescue.org. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received and we require an application before a meet & greet. Once we have your application we will set up a convenient time for you to meet the dog. Our dogs are meant to be companion animals. We DO NOT condone chaining. Thank you.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Powder, a Wimberley Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
