Costello's Story...
Hi I am Elvis Costello! Please just look at my sweet face and not the rest of me because I am embarrassed about being "naked". I was so severely matted when I came to my foster home they had to shave me down to my skin. But my coat is actually a beautiful brindle color, I know crazy right? I am a total snuggle bug. I mean like I love to do nothing more than snuggle and lay in your lap. I promise to be your best friend and side kick for everything you do and at 12lbs I am quite portable. I like children and other dogs as long as they are around the same size as me. I am "hypoallergenic" so I will need to be groomed so I don't get in the shape I was in before, cause it can be a bit drafty if you know what I mean. I am house and kennel trained. Please email my foster mom if you would like to find out more about me and complete an application

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Costello, a Baton Rouge Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso for sale in Baton Rouge, or seeking a Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Baton Rouge.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Baton Rouge already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Baton Rouge breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Schnauzer (Miniature)/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Baton Rouge paves the way for another one to be saved.
