I am already spayed and up to date with shots.
Layla came to the shelter in late August nursing an adorable litter of six kittens, who all went home in late September, after mama was spayed and done nursing. She is at present a quiet and reserved cat -- not at all feral, and not even frightened, just cautious, and careful not to make any waves among the other cats, a behavior very common to recent mama cats. In her foster home, with her kittens, she overcame her initial reservations and became a quietly affectionate cat, one who loved to be pet and held, when her human friends were ready to give her some attention while her kittens played. At the shelter, she took a little step back, but is once again coming out of her shell, waiting patiently until her volunteer friends can devote some time to her, at which point she is very happy to be held and loved. She's fine with the other cats, because she's the kind of cat who steers clear of any trouble or quarrels, and defers to the more dominant cats.
