Skittles (Neutered)'s Story...
"Skittles" is a handsome 2-year old male kitty who arrived at the HSOV on October 17, 2015 after a Good Samaritan found him in the Marietta, Ohio area. "Skittles" has a white-and-brown tabby short smooth coat, a long tail, and a darling face with a brown tabby 'mask', a cute pink nose, and extra-long white whiskers. "Skittles" is a friendly fellow who loved petting while we took some preliminary photos in his cage shortly after his arrival. We'll be anxious to take more flattering pictures in our 'studio' or meet-and-greet room after he has settled into his temporary home with us. "Skittles" weighs 8.4 lbs. He was given vaccinations, wormer, and flea treatment on October 17, 2015. "Skittles" has already been neutered.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skittles (Neutered), a Marietta Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
