My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frank. Frank is lovely 6 year old smooth coat B&W male with pricked
ears. He came into rescue through no fault of his own due to the death of
his owner, and is doing quite well. Frank is quite obese, as he weighed 104
lbs. when he entered our program. He is starting to make slow progress
towards his goal weight and he currently weighs 92 lbs. Just to make sure
that he did not have any thyroid or any other issues, Frank had a complete
physical exam that included blood work. He's a very healthy boy and his vet
records can be transferred to his new owner. Even though he is so big, he
still is an active boy, so we are exercising him daily and providing a
qualit diet for him.

This is a dog that bonds instantly, and is a quiet boy, but he also gets
excited and will jump if you amp him up. Franks gets along with other dogs.
We took him to an adoption event last weekend and he handled it without any
issues (sometimes dogs get nervous at these events because of all of the
stimulus). He walks nice on leash, which will come in handy when his next
owner starts his daily exercise regimen. He's a little more of himself than
needed - no problem - that's what walks are for. He knows his basic
commands - sit, shake and stay. He's very loving and bonds quickly. He
likes to be where the action is, but also likes to go off to the side lines.
Once you start playing with another dog, well there he is, ready for some
loving. He really likes to be scratched and brushed. Only shedding a
little bit right now. Does not seem to bark and he is not a marker at all!
Frank is a really nice dog who will make a great best friend. The type of
home that is best suited for Frank is one that has some daily activity in it
and his person will be committed to continue to help him of meeting his goal
weight of 55 lbs.

If you are interested in meeting our dogs, please fill out an adoption
application. We require a pre-approved application to be on file before any
meet and greets are scheduled. The electronic application can be found on
