Cocoa's Story...
Cocoa is an 8 week old Pitty mix that is looking for her forever home. Cocoa was rescued from NC on a free site. Apparently at 3 weeks old she got away from her mom (with eyes closed and couldn't walk... So, I don't know how that happened) and her mom wouldn't feed her. So, one of my fosters rescued her for me and she became a Jericho's Wish puppy. She's still very little so she's not house trained of course. She is up to date on shots (had two sets of shots), dewormed and microchipped. Her breed is very energetic so, someone with a fenced in yard and an active family would be great. She loves other dogs. So, that would be a plus.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cocoa, a Burlington American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever for sale in Burlington, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Burlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Burlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Burlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Burlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
