Ausha is not an easy dog for us to place as she is semi-feral. She will likely never be a "normal dog" that will do "normal" things.
As best we can guess she was not socialized as a puppy and left to fend for herself. Here is a link for more information about semi feral dogs: http://bestfriends.org/resources/feral-dogs-and-shy-dogs-how-help-them
She is very skittish with everything...noises, people, even regular things that happen in a home. She is not interested in people or attention from them...even with me and anyone else that she knows. Because she is semi-feral she dentifies with other dogs and is her best self within a herd of dogs.
She has been in foster with our organization for 16 months and with me personally for 8 of those months. She is not a dog that you can just reach out and touch or pet as she will bolt when you attempt to pet or touch her. She is a flight risk as well.
She is adorable and is house trained and crate trained but she will need a very patient and understanding home and is not for everyone.
