Leo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, and up to date with shots.

Leo's Story...
Leo is about 4 year old cream-colored Chow mix. He was rescued from a hoarding situation where over 70 animals were removed from the property. He has always been a sweet boy but is learning the life skills to fit into a furever home. He seems to be housetrained, but doesn't like to be crated. He'll walk on a leash and loves treats. He's shy around other dogs and people but wants to be friendly. The first time he saw a Chihuahua he headed for the hills, but gets along great with Linus, another Chow, who was rescued from the same property. Leo will do best in an experienced dog home familiar with Chows. He also LOVES to play in the hose! He is up to date with his shots, neutered, microchipped, HW-, and on HW and flea preventative. If you are interested in meeting Leo or have questions you can contact his foster at 386-236-8529.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Ormond Beach Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Ormond Beach, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Ormond Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ormond Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ormond Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ormond Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
