Travis is quite the charmer that will win over your heart as soon as he gazes in to your eyes! Travis is an approximately 11 year old Shih Tzu that was found as a stray by Macomb County Animal Control. He is very calm and loves nothing more that to have the side of his face rubbed and to follow you around the house. He enjoys sleeping on a fluffy blanket or dog bed at your feet while you lay around in the couch or when you go to bed at night. His favorite thing is a yummy chew toy!

Travis is house broken and crate trained. We think that kids age 6 and up would be okay as visitors for Travis, but ultimately he needs a calm and quiet home. He has done well with other small dogs in his foster home, but hasn't met big dogs yet. So far he's ignored the cats he's been around.

Travis is deaf, and was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) at the end of December 2015. He is on daily medication that currently costs approximately $100 per month. He will need to be medicated for the rest of his life, but you would never know that there is anything different about him.
