Meet Smokey - A handsome 6 year old, approximately 100 pound, lovable Pit mix!
Smokey’s dad was in a terrible car accident a few years ago and nearly died multiple times due to complications. Due to the extent of his injuries and hospitalization, and the overwhelming process of recovery, Smokey’s dad has had major life changes and can no longer take care of his boy.
His parents are currently fostering Smokey until he can find that perfect home of his own and they are full of great things to say about Smokey! He’s loyal, affectionate, and often thinks that he’s a foot-warmer or even a lap dog. He currently lives with an English bulldog and senior Pug and does wonderfully - he even lets his foster fur-siblings steal his bed and bone from time to time!
Smokey is a big, strong boy, and can sometimes (due to his very loyal nature) be protective of his home environment, so he would do best with a confident leader who could use a lovable, loyal companion in their life.
