Judy's Story...
Judy was a stray and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control in September. "Four Paws" rescued her a few weeks later and brought her into our "Four Paws" family. She is about 10 months old and very sweet. She was diagnosed through x-rays which looks to be an injury to one of her vertebras but surgery is not required. She walks with a slight limp but otherwise a perfectly sweet and normal cat who loves to play. Please call the Foundation for further information or e-mail mrkoko@att.net. Our pre-adoption form can be found on our website www.fourpawsfoundation.petfinder.com for those interested in making an appointment to see her for adoption. Please forward a completed form to the same above e-mail address and we will review it.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Judy, a Bartlett Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Bartlett, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Bartlett.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bartlett already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bartlett breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bartlett paves the way for another one to be saved.
