Meet Duffy! He has the most gorgeous thick poodle coat we've ever known. Duffy is a sweet 18 pound Miniature Poodle who is about 3.5 years old. He was given to us by his former owner because she was not able to keep him in the apartment where she was staying.
We didn't realize it immediately, but Duffy had cataracts in both eyes. In the bright sunshine, his pupils were closed, so the grayish coloring was not visible. However, shortly after Duffy got into the car, his pupils dilated and we could see that he had cataracts. In spite of them, Duffy was able to run in the yard, navigate the flight of stairs to the bedroom at night and generally get along just fine.
We wanted to do all that we could for Duffy, so he went to see the eye doctor who determined that Duffy was a good candidate for cataract removal surgery, which Duffy had about 2 months ago. We are thrilled that he can now see out of his right eye, and has become an even better pooch than he was before.
Duffy is very loving, gentle and good-natured with all that he meets. He's good with small kids, other dogs and cats. Duffy is truly a special dog!
Duffy has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
