Candace's Story...
Candace was born on 8/30/15 in a shelter and was transferred to our rescue the following day. She has lived happily with mother and brother in a foster home with lots of loving care. She has all of the wonderful puppy attributes, loving yet playful, playing her brothers, and napping next to her brothers in soft dog bed. As to Candace?s breed, her mother looks like a white Shih Tzu and the father is unknown. She has a lovely soft, straight, cream colored coat of hair. Her weight is 3 lbs at 2 months so she might weigh about 9-10 lbs as an adult. Candace is very healthy puppy and will make a wonderful companion pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Candace, a Covina Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Maltese for sale in Covina, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Maltese puppy from a breeder in Covina.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Covina already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Covina breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Maltese breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Covina paves the way for another one to be saved.
