Harry's Story...

Harry is our sweet, sable-colored boy. Basically, he is the sweetest dog in the world! Someone must have fallen on very hard times in order to make the heartbreaking decision to part with this wonderful companion to allow him to find a better home.

Harry is 21 pounds and approximately 4 years old. Our best guess is that he is a Cockichon (Bichon/Cocker Spaniel mix). Whatever his genetics, he ended up with a stunningly colored, non-shedding coat and a wonderful, eas y going personality. He is great with other dogs, good in the car and in a crate, quiet, adaptable, content and attentive.

Dogs are vaccinated, microchipped  and spayed/neutered before adoption.
The necessary first step to inquire about any dog, is to complete the NCPR Adoption Interest Form.Once we receive the NCPR Adoption Interest Form , a volunteer will contact you promptly. We need your information to match you with the perfect companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harry, a Walnut Creek Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Walnut Creek, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Walnut Creek.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Walnut Creek already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Walnut Creek breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Walnut Creek paves the way for another one to be saved.
