Bean the baby tripod -Meet Him's Story...
This precious little pup is approx 4 months old and 7lbs at 10/15/15. He will be under 15lbs. He is a dachshund mix, maybe with chihuahua? He had a serious leg injury when he came into the shelter, we have no idea what happened, could be that something was tied tight around his foot or he got caught under something. We had to amputate his back leg, but he is getting around just fine and it doesn't seem to bother him to be a tripod. He is just a doll, he is a little shy, loves to play with the other dogs and sleep in his doggie bed with his buddies. We are working on his housetraining, and his leash training. He is just one precious little dog with a really nice disposition

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bean the baby tripod -Meet Him, a Norwalk Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
