Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. My name is Calvin. I'm around 2 years old and I weigh 66.8 lbs.
I was found as a stray in the Wellsville area and was brought in to the pound.
Some nice people found me after I was hit by a car. When I came in to the pound, they got me in to the vet right away. I had some very horrible road rash. my wounds were all the way down to the tendons on my elbows. Thankfully, I didn't have any broken bones and no other apparent injuries other than the severe road rash. I was extremely painful but now I am healed up pretty well and feeling much better thanks to some pain medications and a good course of antibiotics.
I am a very sweet and loving boy with people.
I was obviously someone's house dog and I appear to even be housebroken.
I get along well with most of the other dogs I have met here too.
My only downfall is that I am food aggressive so I need a new family or rescue that can be willing to work through that issue. I should definitely be fed in an area where people and other dogs will leave me alone to eat.
Because of the food aggression, the pound feels it would be best if I were placed in a home without small children.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER OCTOBER 8, 2015.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY NEUTER SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
